Founder & CEO
Hi, I’m Isabel King, Founder and CEO of Amulet SafeTech. My journey into the world of entrepreneurship started from a deeply personal place. Like many women, I’ve experienced moments where I’ve felt vulnerable, unsafe, or unsure of how to respond in uncomfortable or threatening situations. These experiences, along with the desire to create something that could help others, led me to develop Amulet.
As a student at the University of Texas at Austin, I have always been passionate about creating innovative products that address real-world challenges. I’ve had the privilege of being accepted into the KS WELI FoundHER Program, which supports and empowers women entrepreneurs who are ready to change the world. Through KS WELI, I’ve gained valuable resources, mentorship, and exposure to a community of like-minded individuals who share a passion for entrepreneurship.
Through these connections and my own entrepreneurial spirit, I’ve worked to create Amulet—a product that not only addresses safety but does so in a way that feels empowering, stylish, and easy to use.
Why Amulet Matters
Women face unique challenges when it comes to personal safety. According to statistics, one in three women has experienced some form of physical or sexual violence in their lifetime. In many situations, the natural “freeze” response can leave a person feeling trapped or paralyzed, unsure of how to act. This is where Amulet comes in.
By pressing a hidden button embedded in elegant jewelry, Amulet triggers a fake phone call, providing an easy escape from awkward or dangerous situations. If the call goes unanswered, our app sends a signal to emergency contacts with your location, ensuring that help is on the way.
With Amulet, you never have to compromise on your safety—or your style.

Inspired By
The name "Amulet" draws from the universal tradition of protective charms, used in cultures around the world to ward off evil and provide safety. Inspired by the Japanese omamori, as well as similar protective amulets found across various cultures, our design blends ancient symbolism with modern technology.
From ancient Egypt to Western and Eastern traditions, amulets have been worn or carried to offer protection, bring good fortune, and safeguard against harm. Just as these powerful symbols of defense have been trusted for centuries, Amulet provides real-world protection, empowering women to feel secure and safe. It’s a modern take on a timeless idea — an amulet as a shield against danger.
